Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SnapDown ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, and how it is used. This page is a starting template — replace the bracketed details with your own before publishing.
1. Information we collect
- Links you submit: the video URL you paste is sent to our processing service to fetch download links. We do not require you to create an account.
- Local storage: your theme preference and recent-download history are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never transmitted to us.
- Usage data: like most websites, our server and any analytics or advertising tools we use (see Section 3) may automatically log standard data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to operate and improve the service, diagnose technical issues, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
3. Cookies & advertising (Google AdSense)
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Visitors may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors may also use cookies to serve ads; more information is available at Google's advertising policy page.
4. Third-party services
Fetching download links relies on a third-party API. Submitted URLs are shared with that service in order to return results to you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites you are linked to or that generate the content you request.
5. Data retention
Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and diagnostic purposes. Data stored in your own browser (history, theme) remains until you clear it via Settings or your browser's storage settings.
6. Your choices
You can clear your download history at any time from the Recent Downloads section, disable history saving in Settings, and clear cookies or opt out of ad personalization through your browser or Google's Ads Settings.
7. Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@peakbrosmao.com.
